EAT THAT FROG: Book Summary By Brain Tracy (SMART WORK & TIME MANAGEMENT)

Suppose a situation arises, Where you have to eat an Alive Frog Daily, And you must eat it without any excuse, So, what time of day would you like to eat that frog?

Brain Tracy, Who is a consultant to many successful companies? And CEO and also the author of this book, He says that the best time to eat the frog will be early in the morning, Immediately after waking up, Because eating a frog, It will be the hardest for you, And nothing can be as bad as this, So it will be better if you do that difficult task early in the morning, so you can spend all day free of stress and tension,

Here the example of Frog is related to his important work, that must be completed as soon as possible, Most of the time we just avoid doing a difficult and important job, saying that we will do it in the second half or in the night or tomorrow, we postpone it, Like, looking at that frog and thinking about eating later or after some time, that they do nothing only increases your level of stress and tension,

Also the reason behind completing the difficult task in the morning is that, Early in the morning our will power is maximum, So we can complete that difficult job easily,

You must have noticed, when we finished doing a little work, Especially the important task and the difficult one, we feel relaxed and well, This happens because our brain releases an endorphin substance what makes us feel good and relax giving a natural touch,

Now to succeed, We must take this process of completing the task and feel relaxed as a Positive Addiction, And we should do it our habit, Because completing an important job daily, managing time appropriately, It will make us feel good, But it also increases our confidence and self-esteem, And to make all this possible, Author has shown many practical ways, From which I will share some of the Principles with all of you, Through which you can make appropriate use of your Time, And you can achieve your goals and success,

Principle No.1 Configuration of the table


One of the important reasons why we do not use our time properly, And stop the procrastination It is confusion and lack of clarity,

Example,

When I get confused, In which book, should I make my next article, Until then, I get more distracted by another job and I lose more time, But when I decide what my next article will be about which book, Then I use my time appropriately, Similarly, even if you want to use your time properly and want to succeed, You must be very clear about your Goals and Goals, And to do this accurately you must follow the 7-step procedure, Which are;

Step No.1 Decide exactly what you want


You must decide exactly what you want, Related to your financial life, About your health, Related to your relationship and social life, and also be clear about other important aspects of your life, About your goals in it,

Step No.2 Think on paper


Only 3% of people write their goals on paper; And this habit of 3% people, increases the chances of completing their objectives, more than 5 to 10 percent,

Our brain is not very good at storing data, But it is very good to create new ideas and information, so try to create the habit of writing all your important and creative ideas on paper, If that is not possible for you all the time, Then do it on your cell phone,


Step No. 3 Term


After writing all your goals and ideas on paper, Give him the deadline, As I told you in my previous video, To complete any task or work, How important is to set a deadline, otherwise, we will continue delaying our work.

Step No.4 Make a list


Make a list of all the work that must be done to achieve your goals, and how that list will be, I will give you more details about the next principle,

Step No.5 Organize the list and make plans


After writing all the work that comes to your mind, And then organize all the work written correctly make a simple plan of how you will finish that job, On this too, I will give more details about the next principle.

Step No.6 Act in your plan


After making the plan, Take an immediate action, In the end, the action will give you a result, No planning.

Step No.7 Solve yourself to do everything that moves you toward the goal


Read books, learn from mentors, Learn new skills that will help you complete your goals / goals Or at least do any work on a day that will take you one step closer to your goal.

These were the seven-step procedure which is very useful for your goal setting and for your achievement.


Principle No.2 Plan Every day in advance


Time Management has a formula of 6 P, what does it say, Proper prior planning Avoid poor performance.

Before starting any work, just a few minutes of planning can save you a lot of time, And it can make your job easier and help you complete it faster, without creating a big problem Because not having a plan can create a big disaster, Which will force us to postpone things,

Now let's go to Action Part, How we should plan things and take action. For this, you have to do a little list, As we did in the previous Principle, For now we will make only list,


First MASTER LIST;


In a master list, you must write Objectives and complete objectives that you want to make in your life, I like to start your own company, or to make a world tour, to make a perfect body, or do something big to help others, etc.


Second Monthly List;


In this, you have to write all the work that must be done in a month, And remember, you must include at least one job, that can help you complete one of the important tasks in the Master List,

Third weekly list


In this you have to write all the work you need to complete in a week, All those jobs, which can slowly help you complete your monthly goals,

Fourth Day List

Similarly, in this you will write all the work you need to finish today. that will help you complete at least part of your weekly list, And you should include part of your domestic work in this list, how to pay bills, go shopping, meet friends, etc.

Remember, Always prepare your list in advance which means all the work you need to finish tomorrow, that will be your daily list for tomorrow, make a list of that tonight before you go to sleep, In the same way, prepare your monthly and annual weekly list in advance, If changes require it, you can add them later, but always try to make your list in advance.


Principle No.3 Technical ABCDE


ABCDE is a very simple and effective priority technique, which ensures that we use our time effectively, After making each list, the next step will be to mark each work with one of the alphabet, as A B C D O E mark a job with one of these alphabets.


  • Mark all important work under the alphabet A, all that work that will not be completed, then you have to face some serious consequences.

  • Under the alphabet B All those works will be marked that are less important compared to Alphabet A Work, if it is not completed, it will create some problem

  • Mark all the work under Alphabet C, which is good for us, but it will not give any problem, if it is not completed.

  • Under Alphabet D, that work will come, which can be done by others There is no need to do it for you.

  • In E the work that is not necessary to complete and will not create any problem, and it can be eliminated,


After marking the work according to the alphabet ABCDE, Then your first and most important priority for you, will be to complete the work that is marked under the alphabet A, this task will be like a frog, that you should eat early in the morning, without any excuse Now, if there will be two tasks that must be completed and it is very important and if it is not completed it can create a big problem, Then mark that two function as A1 and A2 And so on ... In which A1 will be the most important work which must be completed before A2,

Most people ask me: how can I complete a book in a week?
